Poor Ellie

I think this sums up our day yesterday. Poor Ellie. It's rough being a toddler. Good thing Lovey and Mama were there to make it all better!

A visit

Auntie Tara and Matt came over for a big Saturday morning breakfast and we got some cute photos from the visit. Ellie loves when family/friends visit her. She is such a little love now and gives good hugs and kisses and likes to show everyone all of her toys, tricks, etc. Thanks for the visit Auntie Tara and Matt! (By the way, check out Matt singing at Bar Cinco later that evening: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iECiI3UQxZI ).

A day in Seattle

Dan had the day off so we decided to go to Seattle for the day. We all had so much fun at the Seattle Children's Museum and then at Pike Place Market. Ellie loved all of it but really liked the fish tank at the Museum and the dried fruit logs rolled in coconut at the market (Dad, remember you used to buy these for Lisa and me whenever we went to the market when we were little?). Being at the market reminds me so much of being a kid. Everything is the same as it was 20 years ago and that is really hard to find these days. Anyway, we picked up some produce, seafood, and a present for Papa Lenny. We also stopped in the Italian Market and purchased some prosciutto, asiago, and bread for lunch. Yum! We ate outside by the park and although it was really cold, we couldn't have asked for a better day. It was clear blue sky beautiful! We will have to go again with family. We would have so much fun! Love to you all!

Playdate

Today Ellie invited her good friend Sawyer over for a playdate. The girls had so much fun playing together. They especially loved playing on the couch. The dry winter weather and microfiber apparently aren't a good mix because it created quite a bit of static electricity (as you can clearly see in the pictures). Ellie was really eager to teach Sawyer how to play with each toy...the microphone, the looking glass (thanks Mema!) and the train whistle. Sawyer was a good sport and let Ellie show her everything. They are best buddies. Now that Sawyer is walking, we are looking forward to the upcoming spring/summer when the girls can play outside together and go to the park, etc. I can't wait! (And the mommies get to hang out too! Yeah for me and Jodi!)

Spaghetti!

You can imagine...

Leavenworth

A few pics from our trip to Leavenworth (We forgot our camera when we went into town so we will have to wait to post those until our friends send them to us). We had a blast! Look at Ellie's cute little pig tails! She looks so grown up!

Ellie's New Car

Here are some cute pics of Ellie (and Jaxie) in her new car. Jaxie is trying to get to the cereal in Ellie's snack cup and it makes Ellie laugh every time. :)

Go Seahawks!

We had quite a day watching the Seahawks in their first playoff game this season. Ellie said "Boom!" every time the Seahawks defense had a good hit (I don't know how Dan taught her this) and then threw her arms up in the air every time Dan said, "Touchdown Seahawks!" Jaxie had no idea what we were excited about, but she ran around barking and jumping just the same. It was a little scary there for awhile for the Seahawks. Luckily, Ellie was able to cheer them to victory (because clearly she is the ultimate 12th man :)). Go hawks!
