We're Back!

It's been almost a year but we are back on the blog!  I'm just going to jump right in here and share pictures from Tommy's first Christmas tree experience.  Dan and I took the kids to Greenbluff  to choose and cut down our perfect tree but this one chose us almost immediately!  We hadn't gotten that far onto the property and this little gem just caught our sights.  Good thing too because it was so cold!  Afterward we went inside the little barn hut for cocoa and candy canes.  I LOVE this time of year!  I feel the magic already!

Thomas Daniel

Thomas Daniel McDonald was born on January 4, 2013 at 3:23 in the afternoon.  He weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces and was 21 inches long.  His birth was very peaceful and from the moment we saw him, we described Tommy as having a "knowingness" about him.  He is absolutely wonderful.

After starting this blog when Ellie was 1 year old, I NEVER thought I would still be posting over 5 years later and certainly not about the birth of our THIRD child!  Dan and I are so blessed and living the life we've always hoped for!  Still life is busy with three and we are learning new routines for sure!  Ellie is the best kind of big sister!  She is so capable and helpful and is carefully teaching Kate everything she knows.  Kate is the most affectionate big sister.  She cannot stop loving, kissing, hugging, and holding her baby brother.  She has accepted him from the start without reservation.  And both girls are fiercely protective of their baby brother!

Living in Spokane and serving in his new position within the WSP, Dan has been home so much more than ever before.  We are really enjoying all the family time together just playing on the floor with the kids.  Dan is the kind of daddy that never runs out of ideas for silly play.  He can make the simplest moments (like bath or story times) so hilariously fun that we all end up crying from laughing so hard!  And I cannot express enough how much his girls adore him.

Tommy, welcome to the world!  We love you SO much and eagerly anticipate each and every new day with you.  I can finally say, OUR FAMILY IS COMPLETE!
